Dead Boys’ Stiv Bators in ‘Polyester’ – Musician Movie Cameos

Stiv Bators' cameo in John Waters' 1981 comedy 'Polyester' is so natural, it's easy to forget that his day job was fronting the Cleveland-bred punk band the Dead Boys. In the movie, Bators stars as Bo-Bo, the delinquent boyfriend of the main character Lu-Lu. Bators plays his tough guy with natural ease.

Perhaps Waters will tap the members of Here We Go Magic for his next project after getting picked up by the band in their van while he was hitchhiking in Ohio this past spring. If nothing else, it's certainly an odd story, which we'd expect from one of our oddest filmmakers.
