In an effort to release six free tracks between July and December, London-based Strangers are back with ‘Don’t Lie to Me,’ which Diffuser.fm is excited to offer for free download below.

On this new track, the British synth-pop three-piece — David Maddox-Jones (vocals), Raife Hacking (drums) and Piers Sherwood-Roberts (synths) — delve into darker territory than they have on their previous singles. The song is brimming with heavy industrial undercurrents, and it maintains its maxed-out energy from beginning to end. Meanwhile, frontman Maddox-Jones doesn’t mince words as he delivers a scathing takedown of whoever’s deceived him.

“It’s a song about people who are calculated and use their charm to get further in life, but sometimes it backfires,” Maddox-Jones tells Diffuser.fm.

Grab the fuming darkwave tune below, and check out Strangers’ brand-new video for ‘No Longer Lost.’ The song is more joyful in sound, but the clip is dark and trippy and more on par with the vibe of ‘Don’t Lie to Me.’
