Next week, Youth Lagoon -- the stage name for psych-pop artist Trevor Powers -- will return with his third LP to date, Savage Hills Ballroom. Before then, the album is streaming in full at NPR. Take an advance listen below:

Powers’ latest album, which was produced by Ali Chant (Perfume Genius), finds the singer-songwriter contending with the death of a friend.

“Throughout the process of writing this album -- about two years -- I’ve gone on this spiritual journey to learn more about myself and my faults and all this stuff that I’ve tended to ignore for a really long time,” Powers previously told Nerdist.

Savage Hills Ballroom is due out Sept. 25 via Fat Possum Records; you can pre-order it on CD or vinyl or as a digital download at the label's website. The album art and 10-song track list can be seen at the bottom of the page. Savage Hills Ballroom follows Youth Lagoon’s 2013 sophomore effort, Wondrous Bughouse, and his 2011 debut, The Year of Hibernation.

Powers' tour picks up Monday (Sept. 21) at Rough Trade in Brooklyn. Then, he'll head abroad for a handful of European dates before resuming North American dates on Oct. 15 in Salt Lake City. See a complete list of stops below.
