A self-made 2011 EP and successful SXSW outing landed Sugar Glyder a deal with ORG Music, and now, the North Carolina foursome are hitting the road in support of their full-length debut, 'The Eyes: They See.'

Indeed, it's all happening for these practitioners of perky, poppy, dance-inducing rock, and today's free MP3 should tell you why. 'Campfire' is more than mere radio bait, though it's hooky enough to compete for airtime with fun. and Passion Pit hits. It's pop music meets behavioral science, and it reaffirms something the Bloodhound Gang taught us years ago: We ain't nuthin' but mammals.

"Boy-wants-girl story escalated by a dark and fleeting night together around a campfire," singer Daniel Howie tells Diffuser.fm. "'Eyes around the campfire. I've got to get you.' I love working predator-prey metaphors that can go both ways into songs about more common human desires and behaviors. We are all animals."
