Super Furry Animals have been revealed as the headliners of this year’s 4Knots Music Festival in New York City.

The concert will mark the first show in NYC in six years for the Welsh rockers who dropped their most recent album, Dark Days/Light Years, in 2009. The festival’s fifth installment will take place July 11 at Pier 84 in Hudson River Park and SFA join a roster that already includes Mikal Cronin, Twin Peaks, Happyness, Meatbodies and Heaters. Josh Fromson, publisher of festival co-founder the Village Voice, spoke about the venue in a press release. “Having this years [sic] 4Knots Music Festival at Pier 84 in Hudson River Park ensures we can continue to deliver a great, live, innovative music festival to New York,” said Fromson. “This location will allow us to create a massive music experience for our fans, while the low ticket price will assist us in support the Friends of Hudson River Park. We look forward to seeing you all this summer on the West Side.”

Friends of the Hudson Park executive director Gregory Boroff said, “Hudson River Park is a one-of-a-kind venue for music and live events, and we’re excited to give Park visitors and local community members an unforgettable afternoon of entertainment.”
