DOMA and Prop 8. Rulings: Rockers React on Twitter to Supreme Court’s Same-Sex Marriage Decisions
Earlier today, the Supreme Court struck down portions of DOMA, the Defense of Marriage Act, declaring it unconstitutional to deny federal benefits to same-sex couples. The court also dismissed an appeal of California’s Prop. 8, paving the way for gay marriage to resume in that state. Not surprisingly, everyone within arm’s length of a computer has taken to Twitter to share their views on the historic rulings, and rock ‘n’ rollers are no exception. Scroll down to read DOMA- and Prop. 8-related tweets from Tegan and Sara, Carrie Brownstein, Neko Case, Superchunk and some of our other favorite artists.
