“You never know just how you look through other people’s eyes,” Gibby Haynes sang in ‘Pepper,’ the sole radio hit from acid-fried Texans the Butthole Surfers, and at few places does that line ring truer than South by Southwest. The annual festival is officially a gathering for rockers, fimmakers an techies; unofficially, it’s a 10-day fashion show. But with so many creative, innovative and stylish people crammed into Austin, how does on stand out from the crowd?

Go bold! They say everything’s bigger in Texas, and making an impression at SXSW is all about brash, exaggerated looks — whether classic cool or fiercely ridiculous. We hit the ‘Net in search of standout styles from SXSW 2013, and the following 10 are the boldest of the bold.
