Yeah Yeah Yeahs Go Wild at SXSW 2013, Treat Stubb’s to New Jams

Yeah Yeah Yeahs offered up a mix of old and new material at their SXSW 2013 show last night (March 13.) The fabulous Karen O and her crew took over Stubb’s BBQ at the NPR showcase, sprinkling in teasers from the forthcoming album ‘Mosquito,’ such as ‘Sacrilege,’ ‘Subway’ and the title track, among the classics.

Miss O rocked a flashy ’70s look, taking the stage in a bedazzled yellow jumpsuit with bell bottoms. She’s traded her signature black bangs for short, bobbed blonde hair, and she wore a headband with a big light in the center, like doctors used to sport. It was certainly, um, glamboyant, and there was a wild energy to her performance.

Watch the whole show via the video above. It’s not as good as being in Austin, but the quality is pretty decent.
