If you took some late-'60s/early-'70s psychedelia, combined it with latter-day British-style indie rock and filter it through a mix of rock 'n' roll history, you'd get something like Syd Arthur.

The British quartet took its name from Pink Floyd's burned-out mastermind and the Kinks' 1969 Victorian opus. They talk about their formation in the above video; they also fill us in on their songwriting process and playing live.

Syd Arthur are touring soon, but they took some time to chat with us and to play a few songs.
