Sylvan Esso have made their mark with their self-titled debut album, so it only makes sense that they should bring their show to 'Conan.' That's exactly what they did last night (Nov. 13).

The Durham, N.C. duo performed their single, 'Coffee' (above) which broadcasted on the show, and also did a special web exclusive performance of 'Hey Mami' (below). Having just a sound machine to bring the melody, it might sound a little bit hollow at times. However, their are many beautiful components to 'Coffee,' which singer Amelia Meath floats over. And even with all the bells throughout the song, it has so much going on it sonically that you're hooked from beginning to end.

On 'Hey Mami,' Amelia focuses on the rhythm and uses her voice to add another layer to the beat, providing the hook. While it starts off pretty mellow, there's a great build up where she eventually breaks it down and has a vocal flow that'll make you want to body roll along with her. See for yourself:

Sylvan Esso are opening for Foster the People tonight (Nov. 14) in Los Angeles and then tomorrow (Nov. 15) in Santa Barbara. After a little break, they will kick off their touring again on Dec. 30 at Beyond the Valley Festival in Melbourne, Australia.
