How many different versions of 'Entertainment' can your ears take? A lot, apparently. French electro-rockers Phoenix have commissioned several indie acts -- including Grizzly Bear, Dinosaur Jr. and Blood Orange -- to produce remixes of the first single off their new album, 'Bankrupt!' and now Dirty Projectors have tried their hand at redoing the tune.

Major Lazer's sophomore album, ‘Free the Universe,’ is due out next week, and they stopped by ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon’ last night (April 11) to perform a new song from the disc. The clip (watch above) features electronic mastermind Diplo jamming out onstage to ‘Get Free’ alongside the Dirty Projectors’ Amber Coffman and David Longstreth and the show’s house band, the Roots.

Brooklyn outfit Dirty Projectors hit the 'Late Night With David Letterman' stage last night (Nov. 14) for a performance of 'About to Die,' a tune from their recently released EP of the same name. Backed by a sprawling collective of musicians -- two percussionists, a bassist, a keyboardist, a guitarist and a six-piece string section, with many of the female members providing vocal harmonies -- frontman David Longstreth coaxed out all the song's subtle sonic details, and the result sounded absolutely sublime.

Dirty Projectors have lined up a Nov. 6 release date for their 'About to Die' EP, the follow-up to the band's latest full-length album, 'Swing Lo Magellan,' which dropped in July. The Projectors have just issued a track from the EP titled 'While You’re Here,' and frontman David Longstreth took to Twitter to reveal that the tune was penned as a tribute to late TV on the Radio bassist Gerard Smith, who passed away last year after a battle with lung cancer.
