Taylor Swift hosted a live web chat this evening (Aug. 13) to reveal the first details about her new album, 'Red,' due out on Oct. 22, 2012. And in the midst of telling fans that release date and premiering her new heavily pop-leaning single 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,' Swift shared a somewhat intriguing detail about 'Red': It will feature a duet with English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.
Tonight (Aug. 12) at the 2012 Olympics closing ceremony, Ed Sheeran proved that you don’t have to be dressed to impress in order to bring down the house when he performed a stunning rendition of Pink Floyd’s 'Wish You Were Here' while wearing a hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
Last year was a banner year for Ed Sheeran in his native Britain, and he's hoping to replicate that success in the U.S. in 2012. He'll get his first major opportunity at cracking the U.S. market by headlining the VH1 You Oughta Know Tour this fall.

Ed Sheeran has a new goat tattoo, so he's got that going for him, which is nice. But it's far from the only exciting development in the 'You Need Me, I Don't Need You' singer's life -- he's also gearing up for a run of headlining dates in North America, and if all that weren't enough, he's also collaborating on some new tunes with Taylor Swift and his former tourmates, Snow Patrol.
So, what did you do last weekend? Anything fun or interesting? Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran sure did. As he put it to his Twitter followers on Sunday: "Just got a tattoo of a goat."
