Fans of both the Postal Service and Jenny Lewis got some fantastic news last month, when it was revealed that the Rilo Kelly singer would serve as a backup singer during the electronic duo's much-anticipated 2013 comeback tour. Now, there's even more good news: Lewis sings on two previously unreleased songs that will be included on the forthcoming ‘Give Up Deluxe 10th Anniversary Edition’ reissue of their only album.
"When you’re in your mid 30s, the cult of people who have children around you all want you in their cult, and they constantly ask you, 'So when are you going to have a baby?'" observed Jenny Lewis during a recent interview. "I feel like, at this point in my life, the records are my children, and I want to be able to make more music and go out and tour it."
It's been a couple of years since we heard from Jenny Lewis -- her last album, recorded with boyfriend Johnathan Rice under the Jenny and Johnny moniker, was released in 2010 -- but she's getting ready to hit the road again, and it sounds like we could be hearing new music from the erstwhile Rilo Kiley frontwoman sooner than later.
