Morrissey

Since he first sauntered onto the music workd in the early '80s, there has not been anyone quite like Morrissey. As leader of the seminal '80s band the Smiths, and continuing on through a stellar solo career, Morrissey has carved his own path to stardom. Armed with a sharp, eccentric wit, a knack for melody and an incredible way with words, it isn't hard to see why he's been called one of the brightest lights of the era. Never one to settle into a comfort zone, Morrissey has always done things his own way. On albums like 'Viva Hate,' 'Vauxhall and I,' and 'World Peace Is None of Your Business,' Morrissey has kept the spirit of the Smiths alive. He's also released an incredible run of first-rate non-LP singles like 'Everyday Is Like Sunday,' 'The Last of the Famous International Playboys' and 'November Spawned a Monster' over the years. His detractors may be loud, but his fans are way louder.
