Mumford And Sons

Finding their start in the London folk scene alongside artists like Laura Marling and Noah and the Whale, Mumford and Sons carved out their own, distinctive spot with their brand of rootsy folk rock. In 2009, the English quartet – featuring frontman Marcus Mumford, Winston Marshall, Ben Lovett and Ted Dwane – put out its debut album, ‘Sigh No More.’ With their signature anthemic brand of folk in tow, songs like ‘Little Lion Man’ helped the band make a name for itself by the time the album was released in the U.S. a year later. The success of Mumford and Sons’ first full-length built up buzz for its sophomore effort ‘Babel,’ which arrived in 2012. It quickly surpassed expectations, breaking sales records within its first week and earning the foursome a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year.
