The Black Keys plan to hole up in a North Michigan studio this winter to begin recording the follow-up to their Grammy-nominated 'El Camino' and eighth studio album overall. "It will just be the two of us in a studio in North Michigan during the winter," frontman Dan Auerbach tells British radio BBC 6Music. "It's going to be awesome."
The Grammys aren't the only major awards musicians can win. There's also the Academy Award for the Best Original Song in a film, and Arcade Fire, Adele and the Black Keys have made the shortlist of 75 artists up for that prestigious honor.
The Rolling Stones are amping up their upcoming pay-per-view special, which is set to air live from their Dec. 15 show at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. The band has added the Black Keys to an impressive, diverse A-list lineup of guests who will join them onstage for the final show of their 50 & Counting anniversary trek.
The Black Keys have settled their copyright infringement lawsuits against Pizza Hut and Home Depot. BBC News is reporting that all parties have settled out of court, with the group reaching an agreement with Pizza Hut Monday (Nov. 26) and Home Depot earlier this month. Terms of the settlements were not disclosed.

Reportedly shot by fans, the clip -- which was available on YouTube earlier today but has since been taken down -- showcases teenage rebellion at its finest. The Black Keys are among the celebrities recently "zombified" by 'The Walking Dead' makeup FX artist Greg Nicotero as part of a campaign to help spread awareness of the American Red Cross and its ongoing national blood drive. The Red Cross has started the initiative featuring the tagline "Use You Brains. Give Blood," as well as photos of the "zombified" stars -- Peter Jackson, Jimmy Smits and Good Charlotte's Joel Madden, in addition to the Keys. It has also launched a sweepstakes offering one lucky winner and his/her guest a trip to the set of 'The Walking Dead.'

Their last studio album, 'El Camino,' is less than a year old, and they've been on the road more or less constantly since it came out, but the Black Keys don't sound like they're in any hurry to take time off.
