U2 2013 Album to Be Released, Label Reports

A new album from U2 will reportedly hit shelves some time next year, according to the Irish band's U.K. label, Mercury Records. The disc will arrive five years after after 'No Line on the Horizon,' which has been certified platinum in the United States and was nominated for the Best Rock Album Grammy at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards but ultimately lost to Green Day's '21st Century Breakdown.'

U2 singer Bono paid musical tribute to the late mother of guitarist the Edge on Saturday during a funeral service at the Presbyterian Church in Dublin, Ireland. Gwenda Evans was in her late 70s when she passed away last Monday (June 11) at St. Francis Hospice after battling an unspecified illness. It's not known what Bono performed, but he was spotted leaving the church carrying a guitar case.
