A third wave of acts have been announced for South by Southwest 2013, and Vampire Weekend, Tegan and Sara, Black Lips, Local Natives and Frightened Rabbit some of the biggest names added to the list of more than 1,000 bands already headed to Austin in March.

Vampire Weekend have emerged from their cave and announced plans to release a follow-up to their 2010 album 'Contra' sometime soon -- possibly as early as this spring, Consequence of Sound reports.
