Taking Back Sunday are no strangers to creating visually striking experiences, and with their latest music video, they do just that. “Better Homes and Gardens” is the background music to a burning house in Greensboro, North Carolina -- check it out above.

“Eddie [Reyes] had this wonderful idea of watching a home burn to the soundtrack of ‘Better Homes and Gardens,’” vocalist Adam Lazzara says in a recent statement. “With the help of the Greensboro fire department, we were able to make that happen. As I was sitting there watching the house burn, and they were running playback of the song, there couldn’t have been anything more fitting. It was very emotional.”

The video was directed by DJay Brawner of Anthem Films. “It was an awesome experience working with Adam again on this shoot,” the director explains. “We got to collaborate a lot on this one, figuring out how we would achieve this, where would achieve it, and what kind of performance we wanted from him. This song was an emotional one for him, but we kept it real which was a lot of fun. It was the most intense three hours of filming I’ve ever been a part of."

“Better Homes and Gardens” is featured on Taking Back Sunday’s latest full-length effort, Happiness Is, which fans can actually pick up for a cool $4.99 on iTunes this week (via Hopeless Records). The track is also highlighted on the band’s recent reissue, Happiness Is: The Complete Recordings, which includes extra tracks from the studio session.
