Tegan and Sara have postponed two shows at the Beacon Theatre in New York City due to illness. The Canadian sister act was to have played tonight (Jan. 28) and tomorrow at the storied Manhattan venue, but they'll instead return for makeup dates on Feb. 19 and 20. Tickets from the original concerts will be honored, and refunds will be available for those who can't make next month's gigs.

"To all of our friends in New York City, and those traveling to our Beacon Theatre shows tonight and tomorrow, due to illness we have made the decision to re-schedule both shows," read a statement on the group's website.

While the press release doesn't elaborate on the Quin twins' health woes, Tegan said in a recent interview with Diffuser.fm that she and Sara are still feeling the effects of a parastite they caught in India.

"All four of us are still plagued by the parasite," she said. "Obviously, touring and traveling can bring on health problems. That’s one thing about life on the road. There are certain things you have to deal with sometimes. Touring is hard. We’ve had all kinds of problems – the flu, whooping cough. There are still challenges. But f— it."

On a happier note, the indie-pop pair's eagerly anticipated seventh album, 'Heartthrob,' hits stores tomorrow.
