Veteran emo/post-rock outfit the Appleseed Cast will hit the road starting in late June to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their classic album Mare Vitalis, which is being re-released by Graveface as a special double-LP reissue on June 30. The band will play the album in its entirety on the dates listed below.

Meanwhile, the reissue -- the product of a "slight tweaking" of the vinyl master -- features new cover artwork by bandleader Chris Crisc and will be pressed on 180-gram virgin colored vinyl (black and milky-clear "half 'n half" with white splatter for the first disc, white and milky-clear "half 'n half" with black splatter for the second disc).

Released in 2000, the Appleseed Cast's Mare Vitalis captures the Lawrence, Kan.-based quartet at a time when it still leaned more heavily toward what we might today consider "traditional emo." After that point, Crisci and company would begin to delve into electronic experimentation and move toward a more experimental rock sound closer to the style of their latest album, 2013's Illumination Ritual.
