British visual artist and musician Martin Creed is perhaps best known for his controversial 2001 winning of the British art award the Turner Prize for 'Work No. 227, the lights going on and off,' an installation piece featuring an empty room with lights that flicker on and off. Creed numbers all his works, and thus 'Work No. 1431' is his music video for 'Anna,' the new single off the Cribs' latest album, 'In the Belly of the Brazen Bull.' Somewhat like 'lights going on and off,' 'Anna' features a barrage of visuals. This time around, it's a string of still photos of the band shown in quick succession, creating a meditative experience.
