The Cure, Foo Fighters and Kasabian have signed on to headline the 2012 editions of the Reading and Leeds Festivals 2012, two of the biggest annual music festivals in Europe. The three-day events, which take place at Little John's Farm in central Reading, England, and in Bramham Park, outside of Wetherby, England, are set for Aug. 24-26.

Perennial favorites the Cure, who were formed back in 1976, will be hitting the stage of Reading for the first time in 33 years, having last performed there in 1979. The Black Keys, Florence + the Machine, Bombay Bicycle Club, the Shins, Paramore, the Vaccines and Enter Shikari are amont the others artists lined up for the two high-profile main stages.

At The Drive-In will headline the third stage bill, which will also include Foster the People, the Cribs, Miike Snow and the Horrors. At The Drive-In are returning to the stage this year after an 11-year hiatus that saw the members of the influential post-hardcore band form the outfits Mars Volta and Sparta.

The dance stage at Reading and Leeds this year will include Metronomy and Katy B. This is just this initial lineup -- expect more artists to be added in the coming weeks and months.
