As the Damnwells continue the celebrations surrounding the release of their self-titled fifth studio effort, Diffuser is beyond ecstatic to partner with the indie rockers for the debut of the official music video for album track "Lost" -- check it out above.

As we put it in our review of the new record, the Damnwells -- and specifically, frontman Alex Dezen -- have always "had a gift for luring the listener in with sweetly hummable arrangements that add a spoonful of sugar to the fraught conditions [their] songs' protagonists tend to find themselves facing."

Those sentiments are front-and-center throughout "Lost."

"'Lost' is a song about just that: being lost," Dezen tells us about the track. "At the time, I was trying to maneuver the post-marriage dating world. But I was busted and broken from the dissolution of my marriage. I felt lost, so that's what I sang."

As for the video -- which was directed by Rick Knief -- Dezen says shooting it was nerve-wracking. "I hate having to act in anything," he admits. "It just makes me feel like a hack, and a lot o the video was shot on New York City streets with tons of people walking about. I had to just kind of let go and let it happen. Once I did that, I was okay about it. But getting to that point of being able to stand in the middle of the sidewalk on a Saturday night with a whole film crew shooting me miming along with my guitar to the track too some time."
