The Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne vs. Arcade Fire – Nastiest Rock Feuds

Wayne Coyne shocked more than a few rock fans with his riff to Rolling Stone on Arcade Fire back in 2009. “We’ve played some shows with them and they really treat people like s—,”  the Flaming Lips frontman said in part. “They have good tunes, but they’re pricks, so f— ‘em.”

Naturally, Arcade Fire’s Win Butler took to the Internet with a lengthy response, insisting that he’d only met Coyne once before the bands played together in Las Vegas and was so jet lagged he barely remembered it. “I hope I was less of a ‘prick’ then telling Rolling Stone that a bunch of people I don’t know at all are really a–holes,” he wrote.

Coyne later apologized, then soon rescinded it.
