Nobody's going to mistake the Gaslight Anthem's '08 sound with their '14 sound. Frontman Brian Fallon recently told NME that the upcoming fifth album, 'Get Hurt,' is "completely different" for the New Jersey rock band, and the just-released video for the title track (which you can watch above) definitely proves it.

Although the video is set in the same sort of dive bar the Gaslight Anthem frequented when they were coming up as a burgeoning punk-influenced outfit, the more mainstream sound of the single and its video filled with interpretive dancing suggests Fallon wasn't kidding.

"I think people are going to be like, 'Wow, I didn't know a band that play punk rock could play something that heavy, or something that pretty,'" said Fallon. "I think also there are some songs that are really calm, and I don't know if people knew that we could do that. I didn't know that we could do that."

The album is set for release on Aug. 12. For an example of their evolution, compare the video for 'Get Hurt' with the video for the title track off 2008's 'The '59 Sound' below.
