The new trailer for ‘The Guilt Trip’ – an upcoming comedy starring Barbra Streisand and Seth Rogen – has been appropriately paired with the Scissor Sisters’ ‘Take Your Mama.’

The catchy track appears on the band’s self-titled debut album, which was released in 2004. The song was written by Scissor Sisters members Jake Shears and Scott "Babydaddy" Hoffman and deals with a young man’s battle with homosexuality in an oppressed environment, placing particular emphasis on the issue of facing his traditional, conservative mother.

Scissor Sisters' liberal views have made an impact outside of the music realm as well. In 2011, in recognition of their activism, the group was given an Outstanding Music Artist award from the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD). Additionally, earlier this year, co-vocalist Ana Matronic praised President Obama’s approval of gay marriage.

The Scissor Sisters are currently on the road in support of their latest record, ‘Magic Hour,’ which hit stores back in May. They are scheduled to play a series of international shows this fall.
