The Killers have always aspired to create music that's cinematic in scope, so it's no surprise that when they decided to cut a trailer for their upcoming album, 'Battle Born,' they ended up making one that really looks like it was made for a film.

The clip comes just a few days after the band revealed the name of the album along with a few song titles ('Heart of a Girl,' 'Flesh and Bone,' 'Carry Me Home,' and 'Runaways') as well as the involvement of producers Stuart Price, Steve Lillywhite, Damian Taylor and Brendan O'Brien.

No release date has yet been announced for 'Battle Born,' but the end of the trailer promises it'll be out during 'Fall 2012' -- and with the band scheduled to perform at a healthy number of festivals this summer, including the UK's V Festival in August and the Firefly Music Festival in Delaware during July, it seems a safe bet that audiences around the world will be treated to a new song or two before the album reaches stores.

The 'Battle Born' trailer is brief -- just over a minute and a half -- and doesn't feature much in the way of new music, other than a suitably dramatic instrumental bed below the scenes of band members looking serious. But it should still give you a limited idea of what to expect when the Killers return later this year. Are you excited?
