Remember that five-and-a-half-hour Grateful Dead tribute compilation curated by the National? Well, it’s finally received a release date and a confirmed track list spanning a staggering 59 songs.

Day of the Dead, organized by the National’s Aaron and Bryce Dessner, is due out May 20 via 4AD. It will be released as three digital volumes, a five-CD set and a limited-edition vinyl box set. A portion of the proceeds will support the Red Hot Organization in its efforts to raise awareness and money to combat HIV/AIDs and related health and social issues. You can pre-order the album right here.

Both Bryce Dessner and the National contribute covers to the album. They appear alongside the Dead's own Bob Weir, the Flaming Lips, My Morning Jacket’s Jim James, Mumford and Sons, Sonic Youth’s Lee Ranaldo, Wilco, the War on Drugs, Jenny Lewis, Courtney Barnett and many more. Check out the expansive track list at the bottom of the page.

The National will also helm a Grateful Dead live tribute at Aaron Dessner’s Eaux Claires Festival in Wisconsin. Festival co-founder Justin Vernon (aka Bon Iver), Lewis, Phosphorsecent’s Matthew Houck, Lucius, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy (aka Will Oldham), Sam Amidon, Arcade Fire’s Richard Reed Perry, Bruce Hornsby and Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s Ruban Nielson are all slated to perform. Eaux Claires runs from Aug. 12-13.
