The New Pornographers Announce Departure of Drummer Kurt Dahle

In an update on their Facebook page, the New Pornographers have announced that longtime drummer Kurt Dahle is no longer part of the band.

"Kurt Dahle is leaving the New Pornographers. It has been a great 15 years playing with an amazing drummer, singer and performer. We wish him the best. Everything is still full steam ahead with the band and we look forward to continued rocking and singing of songs," the band said with no mention as to who his replacement will be.

Judging from the Facebook post, the parting of ways appears to be amicable, as the band will forge ahead promoting their recently released new album, 'Brill Bruisers.'

In addition to having their own signature 'Brill Brew' coffee, the band heads out on a North America-wide tour starting Oct. 3 in Vancouver. The dates will carry them through the end of November and take them all across the states. Get the band's full itinerary right here.
