Ilan Rubin may be known for his work with the likes of Nine Inch Nails and Angels and Airwaves since 2009 and 2011, respectively, but he's actually been a solo artist since 2007, working under the moniker the New Regime. Today (June 9), Diffuser is thrilled to highlight a stripped-down side of the New Regime with a captivating performance of their new track, "We Rise, We Fall" -- check it out above.

This particular rendition of the tune -- featured on the New Regime's fourth album, Exhibit B -- comes to us courtesy of the ongoing At: Guitar Center web series. As with previous episodes, this spotlights the band in a unique setting, putting a twist on the studio version of "We Rise, We Fall."

"This particular performance of 'We Rise, We Fall' was a lot of fun to do," Rubin tells us. "The broken-down format for this web series let us shine a light on the groovy feel of this song. The vintage room at the Guitar Center where we recorded the performance is actually a great sounding room, so it was a real pleasure to play in there."

The New Regime currently have just one date on their tour itinerary, tonight at the Satellite in Los Angeles with Drenge -- but we're keeping our fingers crossed that Rubin will hit the road for more gigs this summer. You can stay up-to-date with everything happening in the New Regime's world here.
