After the Pixies' ugly split in 1993, any hope of ever getting the four members in the same room -- let alone on the same stage -- seemed like a lost cause.

Even as frontman Frank Black began mending things behind the scenes, he publicly denied rumors of a possible reunion. But all that changed in 2004, when the band announced plans for a lengthy reunion tour. The comeback trek proved wildly successful, and the Pixies have toured sporadically since, but so far, calls for a comeback album remain unfulfilled.
