2012 is a pretty big year for the Walkmen. They released their seventh full-length album, 'Heaven,' and will hit the road supporting Florence + the Machine for the summer. The band will also headline their own tour later this fall.

The New York City-based group will join Ms. Welch starting July 20 in British Columbia, Canada. They will also make a few summer music festival appearances, including the Osheaga Festival in Montreal, Canada on August 3 and Lollapalooza in Chicago Ill. on August 5.

The Walkmen will resume touring on September 12 in Los Angeles, Calif. and travel across the country, ending their trek October 19 in Boston, Mass. See their full itinerary below. Presale tickets will be available starting Wednesday, June 6, at their official website.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Walkmen's debut album, 'Everybody Who Pretended to Like Me Is Gone,' and the band has matured a lot since their inception. "The detachment you can feel throughout our younger records is gone," singer Hamilton Leithauser said about 'Heaven.' "We felt like it was time to make a bigger, more generous statement."
