With an impressive cast featuring the likes of Steve Carell, Toni Collette, Sam Rockwell and Liam James, ‘The Way, Way Back’ tells the story of an awkward teen who, in the midst of struggling to find himself, lands a summer job at a water park and becomes fast friends with a quirky employee. The flick made its debut at Sundance earlier in the year and is set to hit theaters on July 5 through Fox Searchlight. Check out the trailer below, where you’ll hear Guster’s ‘This Could All Be Yours’ and the Apache Relay’s ‘Power Hungry Animals.’

The Guster tune appears on their 2010 album ‘Easy Wonderful,’ which landed at No. 22 on the Billboard 200 chart. The lyrics “There's a message in the skies and in the streets / Opportunity, the Americany dream / It's in the radio, it's superstars / The arteries and veins that feed your heart” speak of change and are well suited for a coming-of-age film.

‘Power Hungry Animals’ is from the Apache Relay’s disc ‘American Nomads,’ which dropped back in 2011 via Nomadic Recordings. They’ve previously shared the stage with Mumford and Sons and G. Love & Special Sauce, and they’re on the lineup for this year’s Wakarusa Music Festival, Firefly Festival and the Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion.
