‘The World’s End’ Trailer – What’s the Song?

The World’s End,’ starring Edgar Wright, Nick Frost and Simon Pegg, focuses on a group of middle-aged friends set out to conquer an epic bar crawl that they failed at accomplishing 20 years prior. They encounter a number of surprising twists and turns during their quest to reach the legendary pub, the World’s End. What’s the song featured in the quirky teaser trailer for the upcoming film?

The tune is ‘Acrylics’ by electro-hip-hop duo TNGHT, and it dropped as a digital-download single last month. The team of producer/DJs, comprising Hudson Mohawke and Lunice, first met back in 2008, and they went on to release a self-titled EP in July 2012 via Warp/LuckyMe. The New York Times praised the five-track disc for its clarity — “the hard bass and cheeky synths on ‘Goooo’ hit with vigor, and the water drops on ‘Bugg’n’ practically leave a stain,” they wrote in a review last year.

TNGHT played this year’s Coachella fest and are also set to perform at the Pitchfork Music Festival in July, as well as at L.A.’s Hard Summer Music Fest in August.
