Seeing Belle and Sebastian perform "I'm Waking Up to Us" on legendary music show Later... with Jools Holland is a real treat. Band leader Stuart Murdoch croons away about love gone bad. It's a sad song about sad times, but Murdoch coats the bad news in pleasant chord changes and an upliftingly sugary melody.

Belle and Sebastian have been producing their own brand of airy pop music for more than 20 years now and they're thankfully still chugging along. They were most recently listed as headliners along with Grace Jones for the 2015 Festival Number 6 in Portmeirion, Wales, in September. And just yesterday (March 18), we got a new Belle and Sebastian song, sort of: electronic musician Tomas Barfod remixed the band's recent single, "The Party Line."

Speaking of which, Belle and Sebastian's brand new album, Girls In Wartime Want to Dance, is gaining a lot of traction. Fans and critics all seem to love the new album, which is always a good thing.
