If you're a Nine Inch Nails fan, you probably already know they have a reputation for putting on amazing live shows. That was definitely the case when they performed for Italy's TV channel, TMC 2, decades ago. NIN head honcho Trent Reznor, covered in some sort of filth, is in top form in today's Throwback Thursday.

In the video above, NIN perform one of the hits from 'Pretty Hate Machine,' a delightful little ditty called 'Terrible Lie.' It's the classic "boy meets deity -- deity disappoints boy -- boy gets upset" tale, which Reznor has perfected over the years.

We also found video of the band performing another of their sunshine pop melodies, 'March of the Pigs.' You may recall this song from the NIN album 'The Downward Spiral': a tale of redemption and finding happiness in unexpected places. Just kidding -- it's all about terrible stuff. But it makes for damn good listening:
