All seems quiet on the Sonic Youth front, but Thurston Moore isn't resting on his laurels. The singer-guitarist's Chelsea Light Moving side project has announced a March 5 release date for its self-titled debut album, along with details of a spring 2013 U.S. tour in support of the disc. The trek kicks off March 2 in Hoboken, N.J., and runs through an April 7 gig in Boston. Check out the complete itinerary below.

"The first CD self-titled was recorded in two spurious sessions with engineer Justin Pizzoferrato in Sone Lab, a killer studio in East Hampton, Mass.," reads a Matador Records bio that was almost certainly penned by Moore. "The band is ready to detonate any birthday party, wedding or hullaboo in any country, planet or stratosphere that doesn’t support right wing extremist NRA sucking bozo-ology." Good to know.

CLM have issued a handful of songs online over the last six months, including the tunes 'Frank O’Hara Hit,' 'Groovy and Linda' and 'Burroughs,' although its not known if any of those will turn up on the new album. Another new song, 'Empire of Time,' recently surfaced here.
