Following the multimedia project that began with Angels and Airwaves' 2014 animated short film, Poet Anderson: The Dream Walker, Tom DeLonge has announced that he will release his debut novel, Poet Anderson… Of Nightmares, on October 6. DeLonge co-wrote the book with New York Times best-selling author Suzanne Young and it will be published by Simon & Schuster. The novel is currently available for preorder on Amazon.

Poet Anderson …Of Nightmares is to be the first of three books co-authored by DeLonge and Young with 12 more novels co-written by DeLonge and other authors to follow. Speaking of the ambitious project, DeLonge wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post:

One of the reasons all this Blink stuff went haywire was because I am in six contracts with Best Selling Authors that are co-writing 15 Novels with me personally. Each one has an EP soundtrack that launches with it. I told my manager the contract that was sent to me for the Blink deal contained weird new language that I had to drop all that music for almost a year. I said I couldn't, but I could record the album in and around those things that were already in the works. He wrote them an email saying I'm out- (I didn't know- and he was only talking about the deal) next thing you know, a press release saying things I didn't say. Here we are..... Well.... Read a f---ing book- at least one of mine, please.
