The Black Keys make a big move on our Top 40 Songs chart for June 2012. The Keys recently put the cherry on top of their first-ever arena tour by hitting the stage of the 2012 MTV Movie Awards to perform ‘Gold on the Ceiling’ with none other than actor Johnny Depp sitting in on guitar. Ahoy!

Last month’s No. 1 didn’t fall far, as Gotye — who continues to rack up massive spins with ‘Somebody That I Used to Know,’ easily one of the year’s biggest songs — drops to the second slot.  Fiona Apple is on the comeback trail and climbs up to No. 3 with ‘Every Single Night,’ the first single off ‘The Idler Wheel…,’ her first album in seven years. Silversun Pickups‘ ‘Bloody Mary (Nerve Endings)’ and Fun.‘s ‘We Are Young’ close out the Top 5 on June 2012′s Top 40 Songs list.

New songs to the Top 40 tally this month include Metric‘s ‘Speed the Collapse,’ Coldplay‘s ‘Princess of China’ with RihannaBeck‘s ‘I Just Started Hating Some People Today’ featuring Jack White and the Afghan Whigs‘ ‘See and Don’t See.’

The above are just a selection of the songs that have been rocking Diffuser.fm in the last month. Check out our complete Top 40 list below.
