At Diffuser.fm, we’re fixated on new music. Obsessed, even. As such, we’re pleased to present our Top 50 Songs of January 2013 list. Our picks are based on the most-played tunes on Diffuser.fm Radio, the online station we launched last year, and as per usual, this month’s tally of sonic treasures represent a wide range of sounds, styles and subgenres. We’ve got roots rock (Alabama Shakes), indie-folk (Avett Brothers), twitchy British rock (Foals), bombastic American stadium fare (the Killers) and just about anything else you can think of. If you peruse the inventory and don’t find something you dig, you should get into opera.

Rather than rank the tunes by popularity or artistic merit, since that would involve foisting our opinions on you nice folks, we’ve listed the Top 50 songs of January 2013 in alphabetical order. Are we missing anyone? Drop us a line and tell us who you’d like to hear on the station.
