Based in Lawrence, Kan., the emotionally staggering Tree Machines are celebrating the release of their debut, self-titled EP tomorrow (March 31). Today, though, Diffuser is beyond excited to let you hear the disc in its entirety -- stream it in the audio player below.

Opening with the lead single, "F---ing Off Today," Tree Machines lay the groundwork for the following six tracks, each with its own undulating rhythm and powerful vocals, culminating in the fading potency of "Man at the Door."

"To us, this is always going to be the album that almost never got finished," singer Douglas Wooldridge tells us about the EP. "We threw everything we had into this album: blood, sweat, tears and money just so we could say at the end of the day that we at least accomplished something in art that holds integrity for us as people and musicians."

So what pushed them over the edge to complete the EP? "[We were able to do it] thanks to our persistence and our producer's [Mikel Griffin] constant persuasion to finish the project," he explains. "This album is Patrick's [Aubry] and my finished piece that we are unbelievably proud to put our names on. Tree Machines is a true representation of who we are and what we've lived through and seen as bandmates and friends."
