Listen to Twin Shadow’s New Song, ‘To the Top’

Twin Shadow has just dropped a new track, ‘To the Top,’ a dramatic, passionate ballad that’s a bit — dare we say it? — Journey-esque. The song is all about that feeling you get when you don’t have any control over winning someone’s undying love and affection.

The song is the first taste of a new record still in the works by Twin Shadow (a.k.a. George Lewis Jr.), whose last album was the breakthrough 2012 album ‘Confess.’ The follow-up is still being recorded, and there’s no release date set yet.

If you were lucky enough to catch him last year on his True Stories Tour, you probably would have caught Lewis (who loves his fans, nostalgia and making each and every show special) or his dad telling you a story.

Details on the new album are scarce, but hopefully the record will be released sometime by the end of this year. If ‘To the Top’ is a hint of what’s to come, we’re going to be in for a real treat. Give it a listen.
