Last week, Vic Mensa and Skrillex unveiled their new collaboration, “No Chill,” and now, Mensa has quickly followed suit with an updated take on Future’s “Codeine Crazy.” Take a listen below:

As Consequence of Sound reports, Mensa debuted his cover of “Codeine Crazy” during his set at Pitchfork festival last weekend, but now we have our hands on the studio version. It’s a notable departure from the original, which appeared on Future’s Monster mixtape last year and can be heard at the bottom of the page.

Last month, Mensa premiered a music video for “U Mad,” his song featuring oft-collaborator and mentor Kanye West. The song will appear on Mensa’s upcoming, highly anticipated debut, Traffic, which still has yet to receive an official release date.

Mensa has tour dates scheduled between now and the end of September. Next up, the Chicago rapper will make an appearance at DJ Peter Rosenberg’s PeterPalooza in New York City tomorrow (July 23), along with A$AP Rocky and Remy Banks. Then, Mensa will kick off a string of headlining shows on Aug. 11 in D.C. Check out a list of Mensa's upcoming stops on his website.
