The Violent Femmes and Echo and the Bunnymen will be hitting the road together. Today, they announced a three-week co-headlining tour of North America that will take place primarily at outdoor venues this summer.

They'll begin on July 11 at the Skyline Stage at the Mann in Philadelphia and wrap it up at the PNE Amphitheatre in Vancouver, British Columbia -- the lone Canadian show on the calendar -- on Aug. 3. You can see the full list of dates below and get complete ticket information at the Violent Femmes' website.

For the Femmes, it's a return to the road in support of last year's We Can Do Anything, which was their first full-length record since 2000's Freak Magnet. A press release we received said that they are working on a new record, with a release date scheduled for an undisclosed date later this year.

Echo and the Bunnymen, with guitarists Ian McCulloch and Will Sergeant as the remaining original members, have toured fairly regularly since reuniting in 1986. Their most recent record was 2014's Meteorites.
