Hailing from New Jersey, psych-rock duo Vows are gearing up for the release of their third full-length, Soon Enough LoveWhile the album won't hit the streets until June 2, Diffuser is beyond ecstatic to partner with Vows to whet fans' palettes with the brand-new track, "Day to Day" -- check it out in the audio player below.

Whether you've been with Vows since their debut, 2011's Winter's Grave, or just getting introduced to them today, "Day to Day" will no doubt become a mainstay in your playlist.

"'Day to Day' was a composition that James [Hencken] had put together," Jeff Pupa tells us. "Originally it was a sketch he sort of banged out one night after work, it was on a Tuesday actually and I think we were originally calling it 'Tuesday' for reference. Lyrically, I really wanted to portray the feeling of wanting to blow your head off while smiling ear to ear. Like, that struggle of you're not happy doing what you're doing, whatever that is, but you just kind of hang there like a ghost."

Pupa goes on, "That 'grind' you face going to work everyday -- when can you escape that? When do you know it's okay to just say 'F--- this' and change everything? Is that even a conscious decision? It's a constant nagging though. I could picture James just smashing his head against the keys in the verses of this song -- which was perfect in my mind, like it's poking fun at the monotony of the structure of pop songs in a way. That's sort of what I was trying to get across vocally ... feeling like an imprint of something you think you should be."

You can get your hands on Soon Enough Love on June 2 via Section Sign Records; if you like what you hear with "Day to Day," make sure you pre-order the limited-edition vinyl of the album here.
