The War on Drugs delivered a stunning performance of their new single, 'Red Eyes,' on 'The Late Show With David Letterman' last night. It was the band's second appearance on the show. In 2012, they performed 'Come to the City' and knocked out the host with its intensity.

'Red Eyes' comes from the War on Drugs' most recent album, 'Lost in the Dream.' Letterman's sidekick and band leader Paul Shaffer sat in on keyboards. You can watch the performance above.

They were so good on the show that even Jimmy Fallon's music booker felt the need to tweet about how much it rocked ... while Fallon's show was still on the air.
