Alabama Shakes stopped by the Late Show With Stephen Colbert last night (Oct. 28), where they performed a bonus track from their latest album, Sound & Color.

The band delivered “Joe,” a gospel-inflected tune that, as always, highlights frontwoman Brittany Howard’s show-stopping, expression-contorting vocals that continually leave us wonderstruck in their wake. If you missed the performance when it aired, you can now catch up in the video above.

The wallop of a song appears on the Target and international editions of the band’s sophomore full-length. And as Colbert pointed out at the end of the show, you can now grab a live version of “Joe” at iTunes. You can also stream it on Spotify.

Sound & Color landed in April via ATO Records, following the Alabama Shakes’ 2012 debut, Boys & Girls. Howard surprised fans last month when she dropped her second album of the year. She surprise-released her debut effort as Thunderbitch, a project with members from the Nashville-based bands Fly Golden Eagle and Clear Plastic Masks.
