The Green Day documentary, Heart Like a Hand Grenade, will premiere in U.S. theaters tomorrow (Oct. 15), and now, you can check out a new trailer for the John Roecker-directed film.

While the previous trailer captured behind-the-scenes footage of the making of Green Day’s 2004 album American Idiot, the latest clip focuses on the trio performing the LP’s title track during an album showcase at the Olympic Auditorium in L.A. You can watch the trailer over at Billboard.

Roecker’s film depicts the nine-month process behind American Idiot, but the director says the L.A. concert was a pivotal moment when Green Day shared the album -- a departure for the band -- with the outside world.

“I remember trying to focus on filming them but also being hyper-aware of how the crowd was reacting to the song,” Roecker told Billboard. “It was a hold-your-breath moment for me, and the reaction was incredible. We were in the studio for nine months, in this bubble, and now the music was being unleashed. After that, I knew it would never be the same again.”

Heart Like a Hand Grenade makes it way to U.S. theaters tomorrow, followed by an international release on Nov. 11. It will also be available for streaming on Vimeo on Demand on Oct. 16. Then, you’ll be able to purchase a digital download or DVD copy of the film on Nov. 13. Get more details at the band’s website.
