With two EPs under his belt -- including this year's 'Let It Go' -- British singer-songwriter James Bay has quickly made a name for himself with his soulful voice and elegant guitar skills. Solidifying his place on people's musical radars this year, Bay recently stopped by the BBC’s 'Live Lounge' and put his spin on Haim's debut single from 2012, 'Forever.' Watch the performance above.

Haim's original 'Forever' is an upbeat track full of pop rhythms and hand claps. Giving it a completely different treatment, Bay slows things down significantly and performs the tune with only a clean, electric guitar supporting his voice. It doesn't take long for him to pick up the tempo, but the beauty of his stripped-down reimagining never abates; what was already a heartfelt -- and heart-wrenching -- song becomes even more so thanks to Bay's stirring performance.

Bay is prepping for a North American tour with Hozier beginning Sept. 29 in Nashville. Get his full tour itinerary here.
